ULFA kidnaps Oil India engineer

United Liberation Front of Asom militants kidnapped an Oil India Limited engineer from Upper Assam's Tinsukia district on Friday night, official sources said in Guwahati.

Drilling engineer K N Rao, was on his way from Duliajan to Barakuri to attend night shift when ultras intercepted his car at about 9 pm and abducted him, the sources said.

His driver was let-off by the abductors.

Senior police and OIL officials have rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to rescue the engineer.
