Doda: 2 killed, 23 injured in explosion

Two persons were killed and 23 were injured on Saturday morning in Doda, Jammu region, in a powerful hand-grenade explosion carried out by militants.
Police said militants hurled a powerful hand-grenade near the bus stand in Doda town, when a large number of commuters were waiting there.
"Two persons died on the spot and 23 others are injured. The injured have been taken to the local district hospital," Dr S P Vaid, inspector general of police, Jammu zone, told rediff.com.
Attending doctors said the condition of four of the injured was critical.
A large number of security forces and police have surrounded the explosion site, as senior district officials supervised the evacuation of the injured.
