Bharatiya Janata Party Leader of the Opposition L K Advani has announced plans to launch twin 'ekta rath yatras,' led by himself and party president Rajnath Singh in the wake of the Varanasi blasts.

After RSS, BJP too fine with Advani's yatra

The twin 'National Integration Yatras', endorsed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, will crisscross the entire length and breadth of the country and coincide with the assembly elections to be held in five states in the month of April and May.

The BJP says the yatras are aimed at exposing the 'competitive minorityism' of the ruling United Progressive Alliance and the Congress in particular. But critics say this is just a political gimmick, the yatra could actually incite communal violence, and the Left parties have demanded that the two leaders be arrested if they embark on the yatras.

Should Advani be allowed to go on his rath yatra? Tell us!
