March 03, 2006 03:38 IST

United States President George W Bush on Thursday praised the Indian Air Force for the relief it provided to Katrina victims in America.

"And for that Mr Prime Minister I thank you," the President said.

Observing that the two countries were cooperating on the military front, Bush said India and the US worked as partners in responding to the tsunami.
