A day after registering an FIR against Apollo Hospital for furnishing false information in the Rahul Mahajan [Images] case, Delhi [Images] police verified hospital records on Saturday.

"We are in the process of gathering hospital records in connection with the case. We have already taken certain records and are perusing it," a senior police official said.

Police registered the FIR under section 182 of the IPC against doctors and management of the hospital at the Sarita Vihar police station in South Delhi, following a city court order to the effect on Thursday.

Sources said the case against Apollo may be shifted to Tughlaq Road police station soon, as the main case in the matter was registered there.

The court had allowed police to seize relevant records of the hospital, including registers and pathological reports, if required for the probe.
