June 07, 2006 18:16 IST

Sehrunissa Sheikh and Nasibullah, sister and brother of Zaheera Shaikh and prime witnesses in the Best Bakery case, were on Wednesday found guilty by a sessions court of giving false evidence.

Judge Abhay Thipsay, pronouncing them guilty, said he would give the order on the quantum of sentence, on Thursday.

While Sehrunissa admitted that she had made some false statements, Nasibullah did not admit. The trial of Zaheera Shaikh in the matter of giving false evidence is yet to begin.
