A domestic help at the Mahajan's residence at 7, Safdarjung Road poured the champagne left over by Rahul Mahajan and late family aide Vivek Moitra into a water bottle after the two fell unconscious after a binge on Thursday night.

According to the first information report registered by the Tughlak Road police station, officers inspecting the scene found that Ganesh, the help, had also removed the two champagne bottles from the table and put them into the refrigerator.

Glasses were found to have been cleaned, a dried fruit pack and a 500-ml water bottle stored in the refrigerator after things went wrong on early Friday.

Forensic experts detected a stench on the driveway from a 'vomit-like' substance, the FIR said. Another domestic help, Shankar, handed over to the police a packet containing 'small quantity' of powder, the report added.

Police also found another packet containing some 'powder-like' substance kept on a bag lying in a servant quarter used by Moitra, the FIR, filed on June 3, states.
