Traces of poison have been found in the body of late Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan's secretary Bibek Maitra, sources in AIIMS hospital where the autopsy was conducted said on Saturday.

"There were traces of poison. The Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory will now determine the type of poison," they told PTI.

Maitra died in the wee hours of Friday after suspected poisoning while Mahajan's son Rahul was admitted to Appollo Hospital in Delhi in a serious condition.
