Mumbai police have arrested two suspected Lashkar-e-Tayiba operatives in connection with the July 11 bomb blasts on suburban trains in the city.

The Crime Branch had already detained the two -- identified as Jamir Sheikh and Sohail Sheikh -- and the Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested them late on Tuesday night, sources said.

While Jamir is from Mumbai and runs a key-making shop in Mumbai Central, Sohail hails from Pune.

Both had allegedly undergone training in Pakistan, sources said.

The two are suspected to be members of the LeT sleeper cell led by Tanvir Ansari, the unani practitioner held on July 24, the police said.

Both are suspected to have visited Pakistan through Iran.

The police also alleged that they were trained at camps in Bahawalpur and Muzaffarabad, adding that they were in constant touch with Ansari.

During their 28-day training, LeT leader Azam Cheema reportedly asked them to send more 'like-minded' youth from Mumbai to Pakistan, the sources added.
