Threat e-mail to President traced to Indore July 21, 2006 19:02 IST The email containing a threat to President A P J Abdul Kalam was traced to a cyber cafe in Indore, a senior police official said. The cyber cafe was situated in the eastern area of the city and the police is verifying the data of the computers to trace the person who had sent the mail to the President, the official told PTI. Police would soon provide all necessary information about the email and all who were behind it, he added. The email was sent to the President's official website on July 19. Police teams have fanned out across the city and a close watch is being maintained on cyber cafes and public computers, police sources said. It is still not clear whether the email was simply aimed at creating a sensation as in the case of three other emails about bombs sent from Madhya Pradesh to newspapers and TV channels after the Mumbai blasts, they said.
