"Today, she filled up the form as an active member of the Nationalist Congress Party," NCP state unit president Arun Gujrathi announced at a meeting of the party in Mumbai on Monday evening.
Pawar was present at the meeting.
Supriya, Pawar's only child, is involved in development work for backward clasess and women's self-help groups.
Earlier in 2006, she had criticised the Congress-NCP-led state government for neglecting fund allocation for ashramshalas (rest houses).
While welcoming Supriya into the party fold, Gujrathi said, "We now hope that you would spare some time from your work for the backward classes and get involved in party work".
