The Bharatiya Janata Party moved a breach of privilege motion on Friday against Maharashtra police chief P S Pasricha in the state Assembly, alleging that he had made disparaging remarks on 'some politicians' involvement in the recent serial blasts'.

"When all the Opposition leaders attended a high-level meeting in the wake of the blasts, he did not mention it but later made this comment while speaking to media, which is a breach of our privilege," said Gopinath Munde, the BJP group leader in the assembly.

Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar said he had taken note of Munde's concern on the issue and informed the House that he would examine the motion.
