Observing that Indo-Pak relations have never been as good as now, President Pervez Musharraf [Images] has, however, said he was disappointed with the lack of forward movement on the resolution of Kashmir issue.

"Relations with India have never been as good as they are today. We have no tension, and there is no firing in the Line of Control. My disappointment is that we are not going forward on the dispute resolution, especially on Kashmir," he told the Washington Post in an interview published Sunday.

Musharraf claimed New Delhi had made no effort to respond to repeated proposals from Pakistan on how to advance the resolution of Kashmir issue.

"I give proposals, and they (India) don't give counterproposals. They don't comment on my proposals and say I am talking to them through the media," he told the paper on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland [Images].

Musharraf last week raked up the Kashmir issue at the Davos meeting, suggesting a step-by-step approach that would start with defining Kashmir's borders and end with a joint cross-border administration.

"I am extremely flexible, and I am bold enough to go for an out-of-the-box solution," he had told reporters adding, "but we cannot clap with one hand. I expect India to join."

"Grasp these fleeting moments at this time," he went on. "Fleeting moments come and go. It is incumbent on all leaders to grasp these moments, otherwise they are not leaders."
