Stepping up their offensive, National Democratic Alliance leaders will meet President A P J Abdul Kalam on Wednesday and urge him to dismiss Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] and Bihar Governor Buta Singh in the wake of the Supreme Court judgement on the dissolution of Bihar Assembly.

Leader of the opposition L K Advani, NDA convener George Fernandes [Images] and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders Arun Jaitley and V K Malhotra will be among the alliance leaders calling on the President Wednesday afternoon, party sources said.

Earlier on Tuesday, Advani had charged Dr Singh with 'misleading' the President on the state Assembly dissolution and demanded his resignation along with that of Buta Singh's.

In his reaction, Fernandes, who is also president of Janata Dal (United), had said that 'for the government to say they were taken for a ride by the governor is an acknowledgement of having lost its right to rule the country'.
