Disapproving his younger brother H D Kumaraswamy's revolt, Minister for Public Works H D Revanna on Thursday said he will resign from politics, but not oppose Janata Dal (Secular) supremo and his father H D Deve Gowda.
"We are trying to convince Kumaraswamy to retract from his design to tie-up with BJP to form a government," Revanna told reporters in Bangalore.
"January 18 was the black day for my father in his political career spanning more than four decades, as he fought for secular values," said Revanna, who has decided to stand by Gowda in the hour of crisis.
