Police on Wednesday rescued two sons of a businessman from Batarwa village under Barauli police station of Gopalganj district; the boys had been kidnapped for ransom and were in captivity for a week.

The police said the sons of textile merchant Shyam Sunder Prasad, a resident of Madhopur bazar, were picked up by criminals at gunpoint on January 3.
