Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee Saturday declined to make any comment on the Congress refusal to form an alliance with her party in the coming assembly election in West Bengal and said she will give her reaction after being communicated of the decision.

"I will not make any comment now on the alliance," Banerjee told PTI immediately after Defence Minister and West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee president Pranab Mukherjee ruled out any electoral alliance with TC unless it severed ties with Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance.

Describing it as an "internal matter" of the Congress, the TC supremo said she would respond only when Congress officially communicated its decision to her.

Pranab Mukherjee had held parleys with her on December 31 and had said the issue would be discussed at the extended executive committee meeting of WBPCC during the day.

Banerjee had mooted the proposal of a grand anti-Communist Party of India-Marxist alliance comprising her party, BJP and the Congress to defeat the CPI-M-led ruling Left Front in the coming polls.
