Two kidnappings in Bihar on Thursday

A prominent businessman's son Prashant Jainwas abducted in Patnalate on Thursday night by unidentified armed criminals, police official said.

Jain's abduction has shocked the business comunity, whothreatened toprotest againstthe incident on Friday and demanded his immediate release.

PrashantJain's uncleS K Jain saidPrashant was abducted by half a dozennear his residence in the heart of Patna .

In another incident,the son of a government official has gone missing from the state capital and is suspected to have been kidnapped, police said on Friday.

The abducted Prashant Jain is thebrother of Shilpi Jain, who was murdered in mysterious circumstancesa few years ago.

Naseem Akhtar, 15-year-old son of Naeem Akhtar, the sub-divisional officer posted at Darbhanga, left his home in
Pataliputra Colony around 7.30 pmon Thursdayto buy a pen but did not return.

His family members, who began a frantic search for Naseem, a class VIII student of Don Bosco academy, reported
the matter late last night to the police, who have registered an FIR.
