Four army jawans were arrested for molesting women and assaulting some other passengers in a running train in Bihar's Bhagalpur district Wednesday, police said.

The jawans, who boarded Mahananda Express at New Jalpaiguri station in West Bengal, molested some women near Naugachia station and when their family members objected, they beat them up.

When the train halted at Naugachia station, the passengers disembarked and informed the Government Railway Police who took all the jawans, who were drunk, into custody.

A first information report has been registered against the errant jawans, the sources said.
