The Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus will ply again across the Line of Control from February 20 when Jammu and Kashmir [Images] Chief Minister Ghulam [Images] Nabi Azad reopens the reconstructed Aman Setu (peace bridge) on the LoC.

The bridge at Kaman had been destroyed in the earthquake on October 8 as a result of which the bus service, launched on April 7, had to be suspended.

The service on the Indian side from Srinagar [Images] up to Kaman resumed on December 14. However, travelers had to cross the LoC through a causeway as the Aman Setu was unusable.

A new bridge has now been built by the Indian army at Kaman.
