PM calls high-level meeting to discuss demolition issue

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] Tuesday called a high-level meeting to discuss the issue of demolition of unauthorised structures in Delhi [Images].

Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil [Images], Minister for Urban Development Jaipal Reddy and his deputy Ajay Maken, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will attend the meeting, sources said.

Dikshit had sought a meeting with the Dr Singh Monday, but it could not be worked out.

More than 18,000 estabilishments were to be demolished in the city under court orders.
