The Anti Narcotics Cell has seized 45 kilograms of cannabis worth around Rs 12 crore and arrested six persons in this connection, an official said on Sunday.

"We have seized 45 kilograms of cannabis which is worth approximately Rs 12 crore in the international market in three separate raids over the last week. We have also arrested six persons in this regard and investigations are on," Dilip Srirao, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Anti Narcotics), told PTI in Mumbai.

"We are also looking into the source of the drugs and whether there is any connection between the three raids. The raids were carried out in Dadar, Agripada and suburban Goregaon. The arrested persons are suspected dealers and a couple of them are godown owners," Srirao said.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Narcotics Cell also seized 40 grams of cocaine in two separate raids and arrested three persons - two Nigerians and a resident of Ghana.

"We have also seized 1.5 kg of opium from Chembur area and arrested one person. The source of these drugs is being investigated," he added.
