UP: Kidnapped boy's body recovered

Four days after 14-year-old Ankit was kidnapped from his colony in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, police on Tuesday recovered his body from Barabanki district of the state.

Ankit Vishwakarma's body was recovered from near Dewan town on Tuesday morning, poice said.

Ankit, son of an employee at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science, had allegedly been kidnapped from the Eldeco Udyan colony on Friday evening.  Though Ankit's father had claimed that he had been kidnapped and that he had received three phone calls demanding a ransom of Rs 5 lakh, police did not confirm it.
