Film star Shah Rukh Khan [Images], who will anchor the re-launched game show Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 in place of Amitabh Bachchan [Images], has denied that he has political ambitions and said he will not be campaigning for the Congress in the coming assembly elections.

"For me, all parties are equal. I am 42 and I have no knowledge of politics. I am not selfless nor do I have the perseverance required to be in politics. I respect those who are doing a good job in this field," Khan said, answering questions from the media on whether he will enter politics.

"I am better off as an actor and I would tell god that if I were to be reborn, I should become an actor. Becoming an actor is the greatest thing in the world," he added.

He denied that the Congress offered him a Rajya Sabha seat.

"No, this is not true. Nobody offered me a Rajya Sabha seat," he said.

Responding to a question on whether he promised to campaign for the Congress in the coming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh [Images], Khan said his schedule is packed during period in question and that there were no dates left for him to campaign.

Khan is very close to the Gandhi family.
