4 Hizb terrorists arrested in Punjab

Punjab police on Sunday arrested four Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists from Pathankot town of Gurdaspur district and seized arms and ammunition from them.

On a tip off, police raided the hideout of the terrorists in Madhopur village in Pathankot town and arrested them, Gurdaspur police chief Paramraj Singh told PTI over phone.

Police also recovered two AK 47 rifles, one pistol, one revolver and 5 Kg RDX from their hideout, he said, adding that during interrorgation, it was revealed that the 4 terrorists owed allegiance to the Hizbul Mujahideen.

The arrested terrorists were identified as Javed, Tahir, Jahan Mir and Irshad, he said.

Pathankot falls on the border of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir [Images].
