How did seawater turn sweet? Tell us!

On Friday night, hundreds thronged a creek in Mumbai as word spread that the seawater in the area has turned sweet.

Most of those who tasted the murky water vouched that it had indeed turned sweet.

The BMC as well as Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh have warned people against drinking seawater for health reasons.

Before the scientists unravel the mystery, can you explain this phenomenon?

Is it really a miracle or could there be a scientific explanation for this too, as was the case when a few years ago, it was widely believed idols of lord Ganesh were drinking milk? Tell us.
