August 19, 2006 16:02 IST

Manipur Police has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to the identification of those responsible for the attack on the ISKCON temple Imphal that killed five persons.

A police statement said the identities of any persons providing information about Wednesday's attack would be kept secret.

"The telephone numbers of five police officers have been notified. Anybody having information relevant to the investigation can dial these numbers," the statement said.

At least 65 people were injured when unidentified persons hurled a powerful grenade at the ISKCON temple complex here while celebrations to mark Janmasthami were on.
