Suspended Congress leader Natwar Singh, who has sought to table a privilege notice against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] for leakage of the Pathak report, on Thursday submitted his statement to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat.

The statement was given to Rajya Sabha Secretary General Yogendra Narain, shortly before the Question Hour ended.

"I have given a statement to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat and it is for the chairman to decide," Natwar Singh told reporters.

"You should see when I speak," Natwar Singh said when asked about contents of his statement.

Asked whether the statement would be taken up on Thursday, he quipped "I hope so."

A meeting of the Business Advisory Council was convened to discuss the issue shortly after the House was adjourned amid uproarious scenes with opposition demanding the presence of the prime minister.
