Grievously injured senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan, battling for his life since April 22, underwent another minor surgery for replacing packs in his liver at Hinduja Hospital on Saturday.

The surgery started at 11:00 am and went on for more than two hours. Mahajan has been shifted back to the intensive care unit of Hinduja hospital.

The second surgery for removing the packs from the liver was carried out earlier on the evening of April 23.

Three bullets, still lodged in his body, had shattered his liver, head of pancreas and small intenstine.
