FIR filed against Mehbooba Mufti

The Jammu and Kashmir [Images] unit of the Janata Party has filed a first information report against against ruling coalition partner People's Democratic Party leader Mehbooba Mufti accusing her of giving an anti-India and pro-terrorist speech at an election rally in Srinagar [Images] on April 7.

"We had made a complaint and a case was registered against PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti for her anti-India, provocative and pro-terrorist utterances at a Srinagar rally on April 7, Janata Party Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Soom Nath Dabgotra told reporters in Jammu Friday.

The case was registered in police station Kothibagh in Srinagar, he said.

The party has also sent letters to President A P J Abdul Kalam, Speaker of Lok Sabha Somnath Chatterjee, Election Commission and chief electoral officer J&K, he said adding, "We want a strict action against Mehbooba Mufti."
