Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi [Images], who is on a 51-hour hunger strike on the Sardar Sarovar dam height issue,  said on Monday that the Centre should take a sharply defined decision on the matter.

He added that there is no clarity in Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's [Images] stand on the issue and the decision taken must be clear-cut. Modi began his fast at 2 pm on Sunday, in protest against any move to stop the raising of the height of the dam.

The matter is expected to be cleared when the Supreme Court hears a petition later on Monday, regarding the people displaced due to the dam, he said, addressing party workers. On rehabilitating the displaced people, he said the issue should be taken up for consideration.
