PM meets Jama Masjid blasts victims

April 15, 2006 21:11 IST

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Saturday visited the Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital in Delhi to inquire about the condition of the persons injured in the Jama Masjid blasts, who have been admitted there.

The prime minister met the three persons -- two men and a girl -- who were injured in the twin blasts at Jama Masjid Friday evening.

There was tight security at the hospital for Dr Singh's visit and the prime minister spent about 10 minutes inquiring about the condition of the persons injured in the blasts.

The girl is to be operated upon for the injuries she received in the explosions.

Thirteen persons were injured in the twin explosions at Jama Masjid located in Old Delhi Friday evening.
