The second round of seat-sharing talks among United Progressive Alliance parties led by Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar elections remained inconclusive on Tuesday with the coalition leaders maintaining that the deliberations were in 'final stages'.

They said the talks were held in a 'spirit of accommodation' and would announce the details about the agreement once the Election Commission notification comes. The notification for the first of the four-phase elections will be issued on September 23.

"The talks are in the final stages. We will be meeting again and will finalise the seat adjustments. But you have to wait till the Election Commission notification for details," RJD chief and Union Railways Minister Lalu Prasad told reporters.

Congress General Secretaries Ahmed Patel and Digvijay Singh, CPI (M) politburo member Sitaram Yechury and NCP general secretary Tariq Anwar attended the three-hour-long deliberations at Lalu's residence.

Lalu lost no time in attacking his bete noire and LJP chief Ramvilas Paswan, who formed a third front, saying that the latter's intention was to install 'BJP-brand JD-U leader Nitish' as the Chief Minister of the state.

But when asked about this, Congress leader Digvijay Singh said they were willing to accommodate him and were 'waiting'.

Yechury said a clear picture would evolve and CPI (M) would 'look into' the CMP once it is prepared by RJD, Congress and NCP.
