Defense minister approves PM's comments on N-deal September 14, 2005 17:22 IST Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjeee on Wednesday described Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's remarks in New York that his predecessor Atal Bihari Vajpayee was critical of the India-United States nuclear pact as "absoulutely correct". CPI criticises PM's remarks on N-deal In their meeting in New York on Wednesday, US President George W Bush told Singh that he remained fully committed to the nuclear pact between the two countries and hoped that he would obtain congressional approval for it. In response, Singh said although he had his Parliament's backing, he was surprised that Vajpayee had been sharply critical of it.
