Patil to assist PM with Hurriyat talks

Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil will be among the three persons who would be assisting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] in the talks with Hurriyat Conference on Monday evening.

Besides Patil, Centre's pointsman on Kashmir N N Vohra and National Security Advisor M K Narayanan would also be part of the prime minister's team when it meets the five member Hurriyat delegation led by its Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, official sources said in New Delhi.

The prime minister received a thorough briefing from Vohra on Sunday evening about the talks held earlier last year during the National Democratic Alliance regime.
