Red Fort attack case sentence today, security tightened

Security has been beefed up in and around the Karkardooma court premises in east Delhi with the sentence in the Red Fort [Images] attack case likely to be pronounced Monday afternoon.  East Delhi police officials said additional security personnel had been deployed at all the places near the court as well as the roads leading to it.

The measures were taken in view of the court proceedings against the terror convicts and following Saturday's serial blasts in the capital. 

The sentence in the Red Fort attack case was to be pronounced on Saturday but was deferred till Monday.  Seven accused in the case, including the mastermind Ashfaq Ahmed, have been convicted while four people were acquitted.
