South Eastern Railway announced cancellation of some southbound long-distance trains on Friday and Saturday due to worsening flood situation in that part of the country.

Howrah-Chennai Mail (6003-up) and Howrah-Yeshvantpur Express (8003-up) for Friday were cancelled and Howah-Chennai Coromondal Express (2841-up) for Saturday had been cancelled from Howrah.

More trains of South Eastern Railway are likely to be cancelled on Saturday if the flood situation deteriorates, a SER release said.
