President Kalam donates month's salary for relief

President A P J Abdul Kalam has contributed his one month's salary to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to support efforts to provide relief and rehabilitation to the people affected by the recent devastating earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir.

This forms part of the contribution of Rs 2.23 lakh made by employees of Rashtrapati Bhavan for the purpose, President's Press Secretary S M Khan said in New Delhi on Tuesday.
