October 25, 2005 18:28 IST
The Election Commission on Tuesday deferred polling, due to floods, in 12 booths of Aurai assembly constituency to November 13, official sources said.
Polling was scheduled to be held on Wednesday in these booths. Special adviser to the EC, K J Rao took the decision after making an on the spot survey of the constituency.
Seventy two constituencies spread over 11 districts would also go to polls on November 13 in the third phase.
The EC has also deferred to October 29 polling in seven constituencies - Suryagarha, Kharagpur, Sarairanjan, Dalisingsarai, Samastipur, Kadwa and Barsoi - due to security reasons.
