After Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad and National Democratic Alliance chief ministerial candidate Nitish Kumar, Janata Dal (United) Parliamentary Board chairman Sharad Yadav is in the line of fire with the Election Commission registering a First Information Report against him.

The FIR was lodged against Yadav for allegedly violating the model code of conduct by canvassing in Mohanpur, in Raghopur assembly constituency, beyond the permitted time on Monday evening, official sources said on Tuesday.

Returning Officer-cum-Sub-divisional Officer (Raghopur) Sanjay Kumar Agarwal ordered registration of the FIR. It was lodged with Raghopur police station on the complaint of the Magistrate-on-duty.

Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi of RJD is crossing swords with JD(U) nominee Satish Kumar and Lok Janshakti Party candidate Pramod Kumar Singh in a triangular fight in the prestigious Raghopur constituency scheduled to go to polls on Wednesday.
