When Vikram Seth met Aamir Khan

It happened on October 18.

Place: Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

The occasion: the launch of Vikram Seth's latest work, Two Lives, in Mumbai, following its launch in Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata.

Dressed casually in a white shirt and khadi vest, Seth arrived with television cameras in tow.

He was introduced to the audience, comprising teenagers, journalists, and a sprinkling of celebrities. Then, with a somewhat complicated unwrapping ("Writing is easy, it's the unwrapping that's difficult," said Seth, eliciting laughter), the book was officially launched.
