In a bizarre incident, a delinquent person allegedly lured a second standard student living in his neighbourhood and kept him in illegal confinement in his furniture shop in Rattakhera village. He also physically tortured him after forcibly intoxicating him with wine.

Not content with all this, the brute also branded the hapless child with lit bidis.

Police said the victim named Prince has been admitted to the local Civil Hospital. His mother Asha Rani told reporters Friday that Subhash Mehta son of Lokooram lured her innocent son when he was playing in the street in front of her house and tortured him mercilessly.

She said when her son became unconscious, the brute fled from his shop leaving the child unattended.

Some people who spotted the child in that state informed them and they rescued him from the clutches of death.

She also alleged that it was not an isolated case of child torture at his hands and that he is a compulsive child tormentor and had been indulging in such bestial activities for the last few months.
