Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] Tuesday said no decision had been taken as yet on the transfer of power in Jammu and Kashmir [Images] from People's Democratic Party to the Congress scheduled for October.

"There is still some time to go. No decision has been taken as of yet," Dr Singh said when asked if it was not the appropriate time for Congress to announce its chief ministerial candidate as the administration seemed to be "confused" over the transfer of power.

Under the power-sharing agreement between the PDP and Congress after the 2002 assembly polls, the two parties will take turns in leading the state.

While the PDP has availed its three-year term, Congress is scheduled to take over the reins of the state early October.
