Should minor girls be allowed to marry?

The Delhi high court has ruled that the marriage of a girl above 15 years of age is not illegal provided it is of her own free will. Marriage of minors -- below 18 for girls, and below 21 for boys -- is not allowed by the law.

As an aside, the legal age to vote in India is 18 and in some states, the legal age for drinking is 25. 

In effect what the court orders means is that you could be old enough to wed and become a mother, but not old enough to vote, or drink in some states.
