Bihar: Congress to discuss course of action on Friday

In the wake of Supreme Court order on Bihar, the Congress core group will meet in Chandigarh Friday night to chalk out the party's future course of action. The meeting will take place as soon as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] arrives in Chandigarh to attend the two-day conclave of Congress chief ministers, party sources said.

The meeting, to be chaired by Congress president Sonia Gandhi [Images], will be attended by Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Home Minister Shivraj Patil.

The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government has been embarrassed by the apex court order holding the dissolution of Bihar Assembly "unconstitutional."
