Bihar polls: EC replaces observers

The Election Commission has replaced nearly a dozen observers appointed by it to conduct free and fair Bihar assembly polls.

Sources in the state election department confirmed on Tuesday that the commission has replaced nearly a dozen observers.

Aerial surveillance for Bihar polls

According to sources, the obervers replaced include two Indian Administrative Services oficers of the Maharashtra cadre. M M Adpani and B V Gopal Reddy have replaced S Paudwal and Sanjeev Kumar from the same cadre.

Other observes replaced were Satyajit Ranjan and B Thiruppugaj, Arnab Roy.

The Election Commission has appointed 243 observers for 243 assembly constituencies and 38 expenditure observers.
