Shivraj Singh Chouhan sworn in as MP chief minister

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan was sworn-in as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.

Chouhan was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Balram Jakhar in the presence of BJP President L K Advani and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Among the senior BJP leaders, who were present at the swearing-in ceremony, were Jaswant Singh, Pramod Mahajan, Rajnath Singh.

Chouhan's predecessor Babulal Gaur and state BJP in-charge Kailash Joshi as also several ministers of the Gaur government were also present at the function.

Chouhan is expected to form his ministry soon after holding consultations with senior party leaders.
