MP: Gaur tenders resignation; Chauhan invited to form govt

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Babulal Gaur Monday night tendered his resignation to Governor Balram Jakhar a short while after Shivraj Singh Chauhan was elected leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party legislature party.

Gaur, accompanied by Chauhan and other party leaders, met the governor at the Raj Bhavan, official sources said.

Jakhar invited Chauhan to form the government after being apprised of his election as the legislature party leader.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday.
