Union Home Minsiter Shivraj Patil will make an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Tamil Nadu on Sunday, IT and Communications Minister Dayanidhi Maran said on Saturday.

After declaring open the renovated General Post Office building, which was gutted in a fire two years ago, he told reporters that he, along with MPs from the state, met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] on Friday.

Dr Singh had asked Patil to visit the state on Sunday, he said. All the central ministers from the state would accompany Patil.
