Underworld don Abu Salem, remanded to police custody in a 1995 murder case of real estate developer Pradeep Jain, has alleged that he was 'beaten up' on Thursday night during interrogation, his lawyer Ashok Sarogi said on Friday.

Sarogi told PTI that his colleague Rashid Ansari met Salem on Friday morning in Bhoiwada jail, where he is lodged after being remanded to police custody by special TADA court on Thursday.

He claimed that Salem told Ansari he was beaten up by the interrogators, adding that they would be moving the TADA court in this regard.
